Representatives of 10 Local Economic Organizations Attend...Conveying Management Challenges and Issues of Small Businesses
On the 26th, Gyeonggi Province held a 'Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) On-site Meeting' at the Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency, chaired by Kim Seong-jung, the First Deputy Governor of Administration, to listen to the difficulties faced by SMEs and discuss practical support measures. This meeting was arranged as a follow-up to the 'Gyeonggi Emergency Livelihood Economy Meeting' held on the 12th.

The meeting was attended by representatives of 10 major economic organizations in the province, as well as officials from related public institutions such as the Gyeonggi-do Economic Science Promotion Agency and the Gyeonggi Credit Guarantee Foundation.
Representatives from key organizations including the Gyeonggi-do SME CEO Federation, the SME Convergence Gyeonggi Federation, the Gyeonggi-do Businessmen's Association, and the Gyeonggi-do Exporters Association conveyed various on-site difficulties such as financial difficulties and export declines. They subsequently requested expanded financial support, simplified screening procedures, market access support, loan interest rate reductions, and expanded export support.
The SME Convergence Gyeonggi Federation stated, "To overcome the economic downturn caused by domestic political situations and international instability, it is necessary to expand working capital support for SMEs." The Gyeonggi Branch of the Korea Women Entrepreneurs Association said, "It is difficult to endure due to lack of market access," and proposed market access support and early budget execution.
In response, Gyeonggi Province plans to pursue ▲ expansion of SME development funds next year ▲ additional interest support for certain companies such as family-friendly certified companies ▲ promotion of market development and marketing support projects for women-owned and SMEs ▲ and disbursement of project funds within January next year for early budget execution.
Kim Seong-jung, First Deputy Governor of Administration of Gyeonggi Province, stated, "Now is the time to make every effort to establish survival strategies for SMEs, and we will prepare practical support measures based on the principles of 'field-centered,' 'prompt response,' and 'bold action.' Gyeonggi Province will stand firmly as a reliable partner for SMEs and support them until the crisis is overcome."
