Nationwide Traveling Concerts Organized
More Than Simple Concerts, Times for Empathy and Information Exchange
"Supporting Owners as Partners in the Food Service Industry"
"While running a restaurant, there are times when my mind and energy are completely drained from working nonstop, but I received great comfort and the strength to work hard again," "I was able to empathize and communicate about the hardships of being a boss. When they displayed a screen with the business name and my name at the end, tears welled up," said restaurant owners who attended the ‘Baemin Music Concert.’ More than 2,000 owners attended this customized free concert prepared for those exhausted from running their businesses.
According to Woowa Brothers, the operator of Baedal Minjok, 2,470 people attended the Baemin Music Concert held six times from June last year to October this year. The Baemin Music Concert is a concert planned by Baemin with the concept of ‘Today’s rest becomes tomorrow’s strength’ for busy restaurant owners.
Over the course of one year and five months, the Baemin Music Concert was held sequentially in six regions: Seoul, Gyeonggi, Busan, Daegu, Gwangju, and Daejeon. In Daejeon, it was called ‘Baemin Music Salon where business ripens,’ in Gwangju, ‘Baemin Music Vacance to blow away business stress,’ and in Daegu, ‘Baemin Music Picnic sharing the spring breeze with the boss,’ with seasonal themes according to the timing. Also, in Busan, they held the ‘Film Music Concert for the boss’s movie-like day,’ and in Seoul, the ‘Jazz performance that lifts the boss’s mood,’ selecting different music genres by region.

The performers who participated so far have been impressive. The Baemin Music Concert stage was graced by Insooni, Kim Yeon-ja, YB, Park Jung-hyun, La Poem, Yoon Jong-shin, Kim Chang-wan Band, 10cm, vocalist Kim Hye-mi, Mostly Philharmonic, Go Sang-ji Quartet & Tango Dancers, Jimin Dorothy Team, So Soo-bin, Sweet Sorrow, and others.
Baemin made sure that restaurant owners not only enjoyed the concert but also had time to empathize and support each other by introducing stories through the ‘Business Story Corner’ and delivering encouraging messages. They also prepared the ‘Business Worries Counseling Center’ and ‘Business Know-How Zone,’ where experts in labor, tax, and legal fields could provide consultations, as well as a ‘Photo Zone’ and ‘Game Zone’ to create even more special memories with companions, along with operating the Baemin app.

Most of the owners (97%) who watched the Baemin Music Concert said it was a happy time of comfort and empathy and expressed their intention to participate again. The satisfaction score reached 4.85 out of 5. This is attributed to the fact that the concert was planned as a customized event in various ways, such as preparing a traveling concert to nationwide hubs considering busy owners and holding performances during relatively less burdensome weekday afternoons from 2 to 6 PM. Lee Jeong-hee, owner of One Drink Today in Daejeon, who participated in the concert, said, "I had never reflected on my life while struggling with business, but meeting people in the same industry and various age groups made me feel a sense of comradeship." Yoo Sook-kyung, owner of Italian Suragan in Gwangju, said, "I always served food for customers, but I felt like I was being served," adding, "It was a lot of comfort and empathy."
Kwon Yong-gyu, head of the Boss Business Growth Center at Woowa Brothers, said, "The Baemin Music Concert, started to convey the value of rest to restaurant owners, has completed its sixth session with great support," and added, "We will continue to support owners and help them grow through various programs in the future."
