The 6th Damyang Santa Festival, held under the theme "56 Jungang-ro, Invitation to Winter Magic" over two days from the 24th to the 25th, concluded successfully with the participation of around 80,000 visitors.
This year's Santa Festival offered a unique winter experience in the Jungang-ro area of Damyang-eup, Damyang-gun, Jeollanam-do. Notably, the main festival stage was moved to Jungang-ro in Damyang-eup for the first time and operated as a "car-free Santa Street." Various attractions, including small stage busking performances, were also provided in the Metaprovence area, the festival's previous location.
Santa Street was filled with distinctive nighttime lights, trees, and various decorations for each section to present visitors with diverse winter scenery. Various hands-on experiences, such as Santa Campfire, "Tonight, I'm Santa," and "Life Four Cuts," were available throughout the area.

The Wish Tree, where visitors could write their wishes on the bamboo Christmas tree and decorate it, allowed families and couples to fully enjoy the Christmas atmosphere, creating unforgettable moments for tourists. Essential festival features such as the flea market and food booths also received positive feedback.
Meetings with Santa, parades of adorable characters, busking, magic shows, prize draws, and quiz events brought energy to the streets, while celebratory performances by Hong Kyungmin and Ulala Session filled the festival with excitement.
In addition, to maintain the festive year-end atmosphere, the photo zones, lights, and trees installed on Santa Street will remain until January 31.
County Governor Lee Byeongno stated, "Although this was the first time the festival was held on Jungang-ro, it ended vibrantly and safely thanks to the enthusiastic support of residents and tourists. Next year, we will strive to establish it as Korea's top winter festival with even richer programs."
