Yeoncheon-gun, Recruiting Candidates for Young Farmers' Agricultural Settlement Support Project

Recruitment Open Until January 31 Next Year

Yeoncheon-gun, Gyeonggi Province (Governor Kim Deok-hyun) announced on the 26th that it is recruiting candidates for the ‘2025 Young Farmers Settlement Support Project’ to promote the entry of young and talented individuals into the agricultural sector and to encourage growth into sound management entities until January 31 next year.

Eligibility for application includes those aged 18 to under 40 (born between January 1, 1985, and December 31, 2007) who have been independently managing a farm for three years or less (registered as an agricultural management entity after January 1, 2022) or those planning to manage independently, and who have completed military service or are exempted. Anyone meeting these criteria can apply. To apply, applicants must verify that they meet the above qualifications and then access the Agricultural Project Information System to upload and submit the application form, farming plan, and supporting documents.


If selected as a project beneficiary, applicants will receive a differentiated monthly farming settlement support voucher of up to 1.1 million KRW for up to three years depending on their farming experience. Additionally, support will be provided in connection with farming technology and management education and consulting, farmland support, and successor farmer management funds (up to 500 million KRW).


After application, candidates will undergo document evaluation (February) and interview evaluation (March), with the final beneficiaries selected at the end of March. Selected young farmers must fulfill obligations during the mandatory farming period, including maintaining independent farming, completing mandatory education, keeping management records and implementing farming plans, subscribing to disaster insurance and paying self-help funds, and using the settlement support funds faithfully.

We ask for the active participation and interest of young and talented farmers, and we will continue to make efforts to provide generous support to young successor farmers who will lead future-oriented agriculture.”
