Green Internet is a campaign started by Naver in 2007 to protect users. Currently, it introduces various statuses and systems related to Naver's diverse operational policies and user protection activities. Representative examples include restrictions on harmful content such as pornography using artificial intelligence (AI), detection of malicious comments, and copyright protection. Various campaigns are also being conducted to foster a proper internet usage culture among users.

The Naver Self-Regulation Committee suggested that regarding the Green Internet service, ▲when user restriction measures are taken on content or comments, it is necessary to strengthen transparency by more clearly informing users of the background, grounds, and reasons for such measures, and ▲it is necessary to establish and disclose an accurate indicator management system for these protection activities to enhance Naver's efforts and policy credibility.

In response, Naver stated that it will actively contribute to fostering a proper internet usage culture by clearly distinguishing between self-regulation and legally based restriction measures, establishing a detailed classification system to improve data accuracy, and more.

Chairperson Kwon said, "As users' internet usage environment continues to become more active, it is necessary to more accurately and objectively communicate Naver's direct and indirect efforts to protect users."
