Bu-Ul-Gyeong University Job Plus Center Council, Industry-Academia-Government Business Agreement

Customized Talent Development and Employment Support to Meet On-Site Demand in the Power Semiconductor Industry

The Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam University Job Plus Center Council (Chairman Dong-yuk Lee) signed an industry-academia-government business agreement on the 23rd in the conference room of ‘JMJECO,’ a semiconductor device manufacturer located in Gijang-gun, with the Busan Economic Promotion Agency Job Support Group (Director Jaehyun Kwon), Korea Electric Power Device Industry Association (Chairman Yunhwa Choi), and First In Job (CEO Sanghoon Kang) to discover and match customized talent for the power semiconductor industry field demand.

This agreement, prepared to contribute to the development of the converged parts and materials industry, one of Busan City's nine strategic industries, and to create jobs in related fields, will enable the participating organizations to mutually cooperate in △ technology development and joint research △ operation of youth and employment support programs △ job creation and matching.


Dong-yuk Lee, Chairman of the Busan-Ulsan-Gyeongnam University Job Plus Center Council (Head of Employment Support Team at Dong-Eui University), said, “We will build networks with related companies to cultivate customized professional manpower for regional strategic industries and strive to revitalize youth employment.”


Yunhwa Choi, Chairman of the Korea Electric Power Device Industry Association (CEO of JMJECO), said, “Many member companies are small and strong enterprises with technological capabilities, but there is a significant shortage of technical personnel due to job changes to large corporations and maladaptation in the field,” adding, “To resolve the manpower shortage of member companies, we will cooperate more closely with universities by developing and operating demand-tailored education programs.”
