Simultaneous Cultivation of Various Plants with Water, Nutrients, and Lighting
LG Electronics announced on the 25th that it will showcase two new plant lifestyle appliances, 'Tiun,' integrated with interior design, at CES 2025, the world's largest IT and electronics exhibition. Featuring a nightstand-style design with built-in stand lighting and Bluetooth speakers, the products combine plant cultivation with interior decor and multimedia functions.
The stand light-type Tiun serves as an LED light for plant growth during the day and as a mood light at night. With adjustable light height, it can accommodate taller plants than previous Tiun models. The nightstand-type Tiun is inspired by bedside table lamp designs and adds Bluetooth speaker and mood light functions. Customers can enjoy music while appreciating their plants up close.
Both products allow easy plant cultivation by simply attaching seed kits, adding water and nutrients, and turning on the LED light. They support up to four seed kits simultaneously, enabling the cultivation of various plants. Users can observe the plant growth process, making it easy for beginners to enjoy the pleasure of having companion plants.

LG Tiun connects with the LG ThinQ smartphone application to provide lighting time and brightness control, as well as water refill notifications. Customers can manage their plants more conveniently through their smartphones.
LG Electronics plans to launch the stand light-type Tiun in the second half of next year. The release of the nightstand-type product is yet to be decided.
The domestic plant cultivation device market has seen significant sales growth since COVID-19. The Korea Invention Promotion Association’s Intellectual Property Evaluation Center projected that the domestic indoor agriculture market, which was 121.6 billion KRW in 2021, will grow at an average annual rate of 75%, reaching 1.7519 trillion KRW by 2026.
Following the launch of its first plant lifestyle appliance 'Tiun' in 2021, LG Electronics steadily expanded its product lineup by introducing the compact 'Tiun Mini' in 2022.
Jang Young-jo, CEO of LG Electronics Sprout Company, said, "We will continue to discover and strengthen differentiated customer experiences unique to LG Tiun so that customers can enjoy companion plant life more joyfully according to their lifestyles."
