Gyeonggi Province inspected 23 multi-use facilities during the winter season and detected 126 violations.
Gyeonggi Province announced on the 25th that from the 12th of last month to the 11th of this month, it conducted inspections on 23 cultural assembly facilities and lodging facilities with potential fire risks in winter, such as performance halls and hotels, located in 15 cities and counties within the province, detecting 126 violations and currently taking corrective actions.
During the period, Gyeonggi Province examined whether multi-use facilities had prepared crisis situation manuals and conducted training, as well as the maintenance status of fire safety equipment and the safety management of facilities.

Inspection results revealed that lodging facility A in Pyeongtaek City had installed some partitions in the underground parking lot, using the space as a laundry room, and lodging facility B in Icheon City had evacuation guide lights obscured by interior decorations. Sports facility C in Ansan City was found to have inadequately prepared its fire safety plan.
Kim Young-gil, head of Gyeonggi Province's Special Safety Inspection Team, stated, "The inspection results have been notified to the respective cities and counties for corrective measures," adding, "We plan to continuously implement safety measures for vulnerable facilities to prevent disaster accidents."
