Dong-A University Holds 'Foundation Dong-A Scholarship Foundation Scholarship Award Ceremony'

Awarding 1 Million and 50 Million Won to 50 Recipients Each

Dong-A University (President Lee Hae-woo) held the 2024 academic year scholarship award ceremony for the Dong-A Foundation Scholarship Association.

The Dong-A Foundation Scholarship Association, composed of Dong-A University professors, was established in 1997 and has awarded a total of approximately 1.03 billion KRW to 738 students, including undergraduate and graduate students at Dong-A University.

The scholarship award ceremony, held on the 23rd at the Leein Hall on Dong-A University's Seunghak Campus, was attended by Jo Gyu-pan (Professor of Education and Chairman of the Foundation) and scholarship recipients.

On this day, the Dong-A Scholarship Association awarded scholarships of 1 million KRW each to 50 students, including Jeon Yeon-ji (2nd year, Department of Biomedical Sciences), totaling 50 million KRW.

Chairman Jo Gyu-pan said, "I am pleased to hold the Dong-A Scholarship Association award ceremony, which was created to support the dreams and passion of university students," adding, "I hope that the students who received the scholarships will enter society based on sound character, a strong spirit of service, and professional knowledge, and grow into outstanding talents who will help future juniors and neighbors in the local community."

Scholarship recipient Jeon Yeon-ji said, "I am honored to receive a scholarship I did not expect," and added, "Based on this scholarship, I will work harder in school life and prepare for my career through various activities such as studying English, extracurricular activities, and obtaining certifications."
