On the 24th, the Gyeonggi-do Fire and Disaster Headquarters held an awards ceremony for outstanding firefighters and civilians at the end of the year in the main auditorium on the first floor of the headquarters building in Paldal-gu, Suwon.
At the ceremony, the Fire and Disaster Headquarters awarded badges to 45 firefighter savers, including Life Savers and Severe Patient Savers. In addition, commendations were presented to 22 individuals and civilian organizations who achieved excellent results in emergency rescue training evaluations, as well as outstanding firefighting departments and individuals.

The Life Saver award is given to firefighters who quickly rescue victims in life-threatening situations at disaster sites, saving lives. The Severe Patient Saver is an honorable award given to firefighters who save patients' lives through appropriate assessment, treatment, and transport of patients with cardiac arrest, severe trauma, or cerebrovascular diseases. Along with this, commendations were also awarded to 15 outstanding departments and individuals for fire equipment inspection and verification, and to 5 departments excelling in on-site activity safety management this year.
Cho Sun-ho, head of the Gyeonggi-do Fire and Disaster Headquarters, expressed, "I sincerely thank everyone who has fulfilled their duties for the safety of Gyeonggi-do residents," and urged, "Let us wrap up this year and join forces to create a safer Gyeonggi-do in the new year."
