On the morning of the 24th, during CBS Radio's 'Kim Hyun-jung's News Show,' anchor Kim Hyun-jung announced the Christmas special broadcast at the end of the program. Anchor Kim said, "Tomorrow, for the Christmas special, Part 1 will deliver live news as usual, and Part 2 will be a special featuring five angels, five girls Minji, Hani, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein, whom I invited to bring comfort and peace to you all. Together with them, we will create a special filled with comfort, peace, stories, and music." Anchor Kim mentioned the members' names instead of the team name 'NewJeans.'
Earlier, on the 28th of last month, NewJeans held an emergency press conference, stating that the issues they had requested their agency ADORE to correct had not been resolved, and announced their departure from the company. They declared, "From 0:00 on November 29, the exclusive contract will be terminated, and we will independently carry out activities." The members have been conducting activities in Japan on their own and opened new social networking service (SNS) accounts starting from the 14th.
