Recognition for Support of Socially Vulnerable Groups and Resolution of Civil Complaints
Yoon Jeong-min, a member of the Gwangju Seo-gu Council, announced on the 23rd that he received the Grand Prize in the Basic Council category at the ‘2024 Korea Local Autonomy Evaluation-linked Legislative Policy Awards’ hosted by the Yeouido Policy Research Institute on the 20th.

Lee Seo-won, chairman of the Yeouido Policy Research Institute, stated, “The Legislative Policy Awards selected recipients based on fair and objective statistical evaluations using quantified happiness index data, as well as the contribution of local council members to ordinance enactment and regional policies.”
Councilor Yoon promoted projects through the enactment and revision of ordinances such as ▲public funeral support ▲community integrated care ▲prevention of solitary deaths and support for socially isolated households ▲accompanying public officials for pregnancy checkups.
He was also recognized for supporting socially vulnerable groups, including seeking support measures for elderly scrap collectors, resolving civil complaints, and diligent legislative activities.
Councilor Yoon said, “I am very pleased that my legislative activities have been recognized through this award,” and added, “I will continue to carry out legislative activities that support residents by improving their quality of life and establishing policies that protect the vulnerable.”
