On the 19th, Choi Ik-hoon, CEO of HDC Hyundai Development Company, conveyed the new complex name to Lee Seung-yeop, the representative of the prospective residents' council. Centennial means 'of 100 years,' reflecting the intention to build an apartment with the premium and value of 100 years.

CEO Choi said, "Thanks to the interest, encouragement, and trust from the prospective residents, the site was able to safely complete the dismantling work," adding, "We will prioritize safety in the reconstruction work and build the best apartment to live in Gwangju, repaying the trust you have given us."

During the dismantling period, HDC Hyundai Development Company and the prospective residents' council continuously communicated regarding the dismantling scope and complex specialization. While exchanging opinions on various aspects such as apartment facade, complex landscaping, and community features, both parties recognized that many prospective residents wished to change the complex name and finalized the name change after consultation.

On the afternoon of the 19th, the prospective residents' council, Gwangju Seo-gu Office, and HDC Hyundai Development Company held a win-win meeting at the on-site safety training center. At the meeting, the three parties agreed to manage the reconstruction site of Gwangju Centennial I-Park safely and meticulously to build a high-quality apartment.

After the meeting, about 30 prospective residents, along with officials from Seo-gu Office and HDC Hyundai Development Company, toured the Gwangju Centennial I-Park site where dismantling work had been completed. Following the site inspection, the prospective residents' council delivered cold-weather protection supplies to the site staff preparing for reconstruction.

HDC Hyundai Development Company has completed the dismantling of the above-ground residential floors of eight buildings and plans to start reconstruction in December. Completion is scheduled for the first half of 2027.
