Realmeter December 3rd Week Public Opinion Poll Released
Gap Between Two Major Parties 20.6%P Outside Margin of Error
A public opinion poll revealed that support for the Democratic Party of Korea slightly declined, while support for the People Power Party rebounded.
According to a survey conducted by Realmeter on behalf of Energy Economy Newspaper from the 19th to the 20th, targeting 1,001 voters aged 18 and over nationwide (with a 95% confidence level and a sampling error of ±3.1 percentage points), support for the People Power Party was 29.7%, and the Democratic Party was 50.3%.

Compared to the survey conducted a week earlier, the People Power Party's support increased by 4.0 percentage points, while the Democratic Party's support decreased by 2.1 percentage points.
After two consecutive weeks of decline, the People Power Party's support rebounded for the first time in three weeks. Support for the People Power Party rose in most regions nationwide. It increased by 8.2 percentage points in Daejeon, Sejong, and Chungcheong; 8.1 percentage points in Daegu and Gyeongbuk; 4.2 percentage points in Incheon and Gyeonggi; 2.9 percentage points in Gwangju and Jeolla; and 2.3 percentage points in Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam. Support among moderate voters also rose by 9.4 percentage points, and support increased across all age groups compared to the previous survey.
On the other hand, support for the Democratic Party, which had reached its highest level in one year and two months since the second week of October last year (50.7%), weakened. It dropped significantly by 10.3 percentage points in the Daejeon, Sejong, and Chungcheong region, and support among women (down 4.7 percentage points) and moderate voters (down 3.9 percentage points) also declined.
The gap between the two major parties stands at 20.6 percentage points, with the Democratic Party leading outside the margin of error for the 13th consecutive week.
Additionally, the Party for National Innovation fell by 2.0 percentage points to 6.0%, the Reform Party decreased by 0.1 percentage points to 2.7%, and the Progressive Party rose by 0.1 percentage points to 1.2%.
Other parties increased by 0.5 percentage points to 1.9%, while the proportion of undecided voters decreased by 0.4 percentage points to 8.2%.
The party support survey was conducted via automated response methods with 97% mobile and 3% landline calls, and the response rate was 5.1%. For more details, please refer to the website of the Central Election Survey Deliberation Commission.
