Seongdong-gu, Seoul (Mayor Jeong Wono) will hold the '2024 Cooperative Governance Seongdong Performance Sharing Meeting' on the 24th at the 3rd-floor auditorium of Seongdong-gu Office.

The 'Cooperative Governance Seongdong Performance Sharing Meeting' is a communication event where the public and private sectors share and encourage the achievements of local community innovation plan implementation projects over the past year, and exchange experiences and information to promote cooperative governance.

Since 2017, the district has established a public-private cooperative governance promotion system that allows residents to actively participate in the entire policy formation process with the goal of sustainable regional development. Based on this, various agendas have been discovered through online resident proposals, public forums, and administrative department proposals, and cooperative governance projects have been carried out by commercializing them through public-private deliberation and discussion processes.

This year, Seongdong-gu operated a total of 11 cooperative governance agendas (▲Volunteer Seongdong V-Card operation ▲Seongdong On-sik Bread Project ▲Sowol Culture Revitalization ▲Visiting Small Business SNS Education ▲Well-Life Seongdong Senior Model Training Course ▲Visiting Senior Program Operation ▲Public Sign Language Library Operation in the Shelter for the Deaf ▲Application of Special Fluorescent Materials on Alleyways ▲Seongsu-dong Atelier Street Environmental Improvement ▲Reducing the Use of Disposable Takeout Cups ▲Securing Pediatric Nighttime Medical Institutions), with both the public and private sectors working together to solve local community problems.

In particular, at this performance sharing meeting, the 'Aloha Ukulele Volunteer Team' from Wangsimni Doseon-dong Senior Welfare Center, a participant in cooperative governance in 2024, the hearing-impaired users of the public sign language library, and volunteers from the 'Rainbow Sign Language Club' have prepared a pre-event congratulatory performance, making it a meaningful occasion to reflect on the significance of cooperative governance more than ever before.

About 80 people including local community innovation plan stakeholders and residents will participate, and the event will be divided into two parts. In the first part, excellent case presentations and awards for cooperative governance merit will be held for the projects ▲Volunteer Seongdong V-Card operation ▲Sowol Culture Revitalization ▲Public Sign Language Library Operation in the Shelter for the Deaf ▲Reducing the Use of Disposable Takeout Cups.

Jeong Wono, Mayor of Seongdong-gu, said, “Cooperative governance, which is proposed and created directly by the private sector, is a key element in realizing a happy city, Seongdong. I hope that many residents will take an interest in Seongdong cooperative governance projects through the Cooperative Governance Seongdong Performance Sharing Meeting, and I look forward to the public and private sectors working together to get closer to realizing the values of democracy.”
