Park Chan-dae, the floor leader of the Democratic Party, stated at a press briefing held at the National Assembly on the same day, "If Acting President Han does not promulgate the special investigation acts by the 24th, we will immediately hold him accountable."
This is interpreted as a declaration to immediately pursue impeachment if Acting President Han delays the promulgation of the special investigation acts.
Floor leader Park said, "The December 3rd Yoon Seok-youl rebellion incident must ultimately be investigated and prosecuted through a special investigation on the rebellion," adding, "It is best and most reasonable for the special investigation to handle the investigation and prosecution to resolve the situation."
He continued, "There is no reason to refuse or delay investigations into serious crimes disrupting the national order, such as the 'Myeong Tae-gyun-Kim Geon-hee state manipulation,' illegal public opinion manipulation, interference in candidate nominations, and stock price manipulation," emphasizing this point.
