Busan-based company Global Topnet (CEO Lee Hyun-ho), which issued the cryptocurrency Camell Coin (CAMT), generously donated approximately 10 million KRW worth of CAMT as a ‘prize money’ to celebrate the Santa rally.
Global Topnet announced on the 22nd that it will distribute CAMT worth a total of 10 million KRW to commemorate the successful completion of the beta test of the Camell Cloud Platform.
The recently conducted bug bounty program was planned to check the stability and efficiency of the cloud storage and blockchain integration technology. A total of 249 beta testers participated in the project.
Global Topnet, which signed a business agreement with the Busan Blockchain Industry Association on November 27, is a cloud storage service provider based in Busan. The coin’s name, ‘Camell,’ was also derived from Camellia, the symbolic flower of Busan.
The company integrates blockchain technology into its existing services to reduce data management costs and enhance security, while providing a DePIN service that allows users to share their storage and receive rewards.
The bug bounty program was conducted for about two weeks from December 5 to 18 this year, during which participants reported bugs and improvements found while using the Camell Cloud Platform. By fixing and supplementing various issues discovered during this process, the platform’s stability and security were further strengthened.
At this award event, winners were selected based on the importance and number of bugs reported after the test ended. In particular, two participants in the top tier each received CAMT worth 2.5 million KRW, and a total of 10 participants were awarded. The total prize amount was set at approximately 10 million KRW.
The company stated, “The originally scheduled payment date of December 30 was moved up to the 24th to wish for the Santa rally,” adding, “The purpose is to convey a special meaning to users as a Christmas gift.”
Global Topnet CEO Lee Hyun-ho said, “This bug bounty program will not only enhance the platform’s stability and security but also serve as a stepping stone to provide more innovative services through close communication with users,” and added, “We will continue user-centered technology development to build a trusted platform.”
