Hana Financial Group announced on the 21st that on the 20th, its employees participated in a volunteer activity by providing 1,111 meals at 'Myeongdong Bapjip,' a free meal service operated by the Hanmaeum Hanmom Movement Headquarters under the Catholic Archdiocese of Seoul, held at the Myeongdong Cathedral Spiritual Center in Jung-gu, Seoul.

Hana Financial Group has been continuously conducting meal-serving volunteer activities at 'Myeongdong Bapjip' for a year since December last year, with voluntary participation from employees of affiliated companies working at the group’s Myeongdong office building, including Hana Bank, Hana Card, and Hana Life Insurance.

In particular, on this day, 1,111 meals were provided to vulnerable groups in the local community visiting the free meal service to share the warmth of financial care despite the cold weather.

The volunteer activity was attended by Lee Eun-hyung, Vice Chairman of Hana Financial Group, the group’s employee volunteer team, and merchants from the Myeongdong Merchants Association.

Despite the severe subzero cold, Vice Chairman Lee Eun-hyung, group employees, and merchants from the Myeongdong Merchants Association personally served food to many elderly visitors at the meal service, handled leftover food, and cleaned dishes, spending meaningful time volunteering for the local community.

Vice Chairman Lee Eun-hyung of Hana Financial Group said, "Although it is a small gesture, I hope that through a warm meal, vulnerable groups and elderly people in the community can gain strength and warmth to overcome the cold winter," adding, "We will continue to play a strong partner role in the community through ESG finance practices of coexistence and sharing."

Meanwhile, Hana Financial Group continues to practice warm sharing through regular volunteer activities for neighbors in need in the community, such as delivering happiness boxes containing winter supplies for vulnerable groups during the cold season and implementing donation campaigns for marginalized groups.
