The Inaugural Ceremony for the Establishment of the Namyangju City Senior Long-Term Care Institutions Association

Namyangju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Joo Gwang-deok) announced on the 20th that the inauguration and vision proclamation ceremony for the establishment of the incorporated association of the Namyangju Senior Long-term Care Institutions Association was held on the 19th.

The event was attended by about 150 people, including Mayor Joo Gwang-deok of Namyangju City, Lee Kyung-sook, Chairperson of the Welfare and Environment Committee of Namyangju City Council, National Assembly member Choi Min-hee, Na Yoon-chae, President of the Korea Long-term Care Institutions Regional Federation, and workers from long-term care institutions in Namyangju City.


The event included △ the vision proclamation for the establishment of the incorporated association and the presentation ceremony of the founding association flag △ special performances, providing a time to share the future direction and specific plans of the association for the promotion of senior welfare in Namyangju City.


Chairman Jeon Han-wook said, “Today’s gathering is not only to celebrate the founding of the association but also to mark the starting point for Namyangju’s senior welfare to qualitatively lead senior welfare in South Korea,” adding, “I hope that today’s start will unite efforts to create a new future for senior welfare in Namyangju where both seniors and workers are happy.”


Mayor Joo Gwang-deok of Namyangju City stated, “I deeply appreciate the association’s commitment to opening the best senior welfare platform by proclaiming the establishment of the incorporated association and its vision, and I expect that senior welfare in Namyangju City will take a step forward through this,” further saying, “The city will actively support the association’s activities so that seniors can enjoy a happier and more stable life.”


The Namyangju Senior Long-term Care Institutions Association, which transitioned to an incorporated association from the Namyangju Long-term Care Institutions Facilities Association last October, is conducting activities such as strengthening staff competency training and sharing information on overall facility operations with the goal of improving the quality of life of seniors admitted to long-term care institutions.
