Warm gestures of sharing from companies and organizations for the underprivileged neighbors in Gwangju-si, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Bang Se-hwan) continue without interruption.

According to the city on the 20th, on the 18th, Choi Se-yeon, CEO of Garam DNC, visited Gwangju City Hall and donated 5 million won in cash to be used for the socially marginalized.
Choi, CEO of Garam DNC located in Seoul, said, “I donated the money with the hope that vulnerable groups in the Gwangju area will have a warm winter,” and added, “I will continue to donate whenever I have the opportunity.”
Also on the same day, Cha Jong-yeon, president of the Gwangju City Veterans Organizations Council, donated 32 strollers (worth about 4.8 million won).
President Cha said, “I hope this small but warm Christmas gift will reach parents who are in the blind spots of childcare,” and expressed his intention to “continue to spread positive influence through steady sharing.”
Along with this, Jang Chae-min, president of the Gwangju City Entrepreneurs Association, donated 80 bags of rice wreaths (10 kg each, worth about 3 million won) received at the inauguration and retirement ceremony.
President Jang said, “As the weather gets colder, concerns for the underprivileged have grown, which led to this donation,” and shared his hope that “this donation will be a small help to welcome a hopeful 2025.”
Furthermore, Nam Ki-jo, president of Cheongmyeonghoe, which means “to become a representative of citizens through clear and pure politics,” also delivered 30 bags of white rice (10 kg each, worth about 1 million won), saying, “We prepared a small token of sincerity for neighbors suffering from the cold wave,” and added, “I hope that small acts of kindness can come together to create big changes.”
Mayor Bang Se-hwan said, “I would like to express my gratitude to the donors who have warmed the end of the year,” and promised, “The donated money and goods will be properly distributed to neighbors in need.”
