About 200 people attended the event, including Kim Bora, Mayor of Anseong; Yoon Jong-gun, National Assembly member; Ahn Jeong-yeol, Chairman of Anseong City Council; Hwang Se-ju, Gyeonggi Provincial Assembly member; city council members; the East Asian Cultural City Promotion Committee; cultural and artistic organizations; education officials; and citizens. The event proceeded with a pre-ceremony performance, followed by ▲Introduction to East Asian Cultural City ▲Congratulatory speeches and video messages ▲BI and slogan announcement performance and citizen participation ceremony ▲Celebratory performance.

The BI announced by the city at the event was inspired by the tightrope walker (eoreumsani) performing the traditional Namsadang play, a representative folk performance of Anseong, symbolizing Anseong as a dynamic and confident center of East Asian cultural exchange.

The slogan unveiled together expresses the determination to connect Korea, China, and Japan through the cultural 'rope' of Baudeogi and to promote Anseong's culture and arts beyond Asia to the world.

'East Asian Cultural City' is a project that selects representative cultural cities from Korea, China, and Japan each year to promote mutual understanding and cultural exchange among the three countries. Anseong was selected as the 2025 East Asian Cultural City along with Macau Special Administrative Region of China, Huzhou City, and Kamakura City of Japan, and will host cultural and artistic exchange events.

Mayor Kim stated, "We will do our best to widely promote Anseong's unique culture and arts and use this as an opportunity to further elevate the status of 'International Cultural City Anseong.' We will prepare various cultural and artistic events that share and enjoy the cultural diversity of Korea, China, and Japan together."
