Request for Cooperation on Jeonnam Province's Emergency Livelihood Stabilization Measures
On the 20th, Kim Yungrok, Governor of Jeonnam, visited the National Assembly to meet with Kim Minseok, Senior Supreme Council Member of the Democratic Party of Korea, and National Assembly member Jeon Hyunhee. He proposed key regional issues such as the designation of the Shinan offshore wind power cluster, the establishment of an energy expressway, and measures for stabilizing people's livelihoods and economic recovery.

Governor Kim Yungrok emphasized the need for the Shinan offshore wind power complex to be designated as a cluster, as well as the necessity of constructing two new 345kV substations and an ultra-high voltage direct current transmission system for stable power supply.

He also requested support for differentiated electricity rates by region. Governor Kim Yungrok stated, "It is necessary to differentiate electricity rates based on the electricity self-sufficiency rate rather than geographical proximity," and proposed granting up to a 20% electricity bill discount for regions experiencing population decline.
Regarding the increased difficulties in people's livelihoods due to the declaration of martial law, he introduced Jeonnam Province's emergency livelihood stabilization measures worth 118.5 billion KRW for stabilizing people's lives and economic recovery, and requested continued attention and cooperation from the National Assembly.
