The KOSPI was pushed down to the 2400 level due to heavy selling by foreigners. The KOSDAQ closed down more than 2%.

By investor type, institutions and foreigners sold net amounts of 89.1 billion KRW and 821.1 billion KRW, respectively. Meanwhile, individuals bought a net amount of 790.1 billion KRW.
By sector, metals fell 3.11%. Machinery and equipment also dropped 2.09%. In addition, food and tobacco, medical and precision, securities, insurance, chemicals, and telecommunications all declined by more than 1%.
Among the top market capitalization stocks, Samsung Electronics closed at 53,000 KRW, down 100 KRW (0.19%) from the previous trading day. SK Hynix fell 3.71%. LG Energy Solution dropped 3.90%. On the other hand, HD Hyundai Heavy Industries rose more than 2%. Celltrion, Kia, and NAVER closed slightly higher.
On this day in the KOSPI, five stocks including Orient Bio and SBS hit the upper price limit, with 205 stocks rising and 707 stocks falling without any hitting the lower price limit. Twenty-eight stocks closed unchanged.
The KOSDAQ closed at 668.31, down 2.35% from the previous trading day.
By investor type, individuals bought a net amount of 133.3 billion KRW. In contrast, foreigners and institutions sold net amounts of 83.7 billion KRW and 34.4 billion KRW, respectively.
By sector, IT services, machinery and equipment, and textiles and apparel fell more than 3%. Non-metallic minerals, general services, metals, and chemicals declined more than 2%. Meanwhile, publishing and media reproduction closed slightly higher.
Among the top market capitalization stocks, Alteogen closed at 277,000 KRW, down 9,500 KRW (3.32%) from the previous trading day. Ecopro fell 4.07%. RIGAChemBio and Enchem also dropped more than 3%. On the other hand, Samchundang Pharmaceutical rose 3.51%. Hugel also increased more than 1%.
In the KOSDAQ, two stocks including TK Chemical and Dijens hit the upper price limit, with 261 stocks rising. Meanwhile, CoaStem ChemOn hit the lower price limit, with 1,388 stocks falling and 52 stocks closing unchanged.
