Donation Activities Under Fandom Name, Not NewJeans
NewJeans members Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein fulfilled their social responsibilities and engaged in good deeds through their fandom name, ‘Bunnies.’

On the 20th, Child Welfare Specialist Organization Green Umbrella (Chairman Hwang Young-gi) announced that the NewJeans members donated 100 million won to support children and adolescents who care for their families during the year-end season.
Children and adolescents who care for their families refer to those who take care of family members facing difficulties due to old age, disability, illness, or other reasons during a period when protection is needed. Based on the donation, Green Umbrella plans to provide various support for livelihood stability, housing, learning, medical care, as well as career and employment independence to 30 households nationwide.
Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein stated, "We made this donation to provide the necessary support for the healthy growth of children and adolescents caring for their families and to help them become independent. We will continue to pay close attention so that they can find and achieve their dreams."
In this donation activity, the members did not use the group name ‘NewJeans.’ In a recently released hanbok photo shoot, only the members’ real names were listed, showing an independent image. This is because the trademark rights for ‘NewJeans’ belong to their agency, ADOR.
Last month, the members claimed to terminate their contract with ADOR and opened a new social media channel under the name ‘jeanzforfree,’ continuing their activities independently. However, they pledged to fulfill the existing contract with ADOR as promised.
ADOR has currently filed a lawsuit to confirm the validity of the exclusive contract against the NewJeans members. ADOR maintains that the contract is valid until July 31, 2029. ADOR expressed concerns that all NewJeans accounts were created without prior consultation under the exclusive contract, leading to inquiries and complaints from third parties regarding the accounts and content.
Leading entertainment industry associations such as the Korea Management Federation (Hanmaeyeon), Korea Entertainment Producers Association (Yeonjehyeop), and Korea Music Content Association (Eumkonhyeop) have judged that former CEO Min and the NewJeans members are disrupting the industry ecosystem and are demanding a clear stance from former CEO Min, who has been suspected of tampering.
NewJeans is scheduled to attend the ‘Golden Disc Awards’ held in Fukuoka, Japan, on the 4th of next month.
