Following the collection of 74 million won in the first year of implementation in 2023, Uijeongbu City has raised 100 million won before the end of this year, reaching a cumulative total of 174 million won.

So far, the city has expanded the existing 8 return gift items to 24 to promote the Hometown Love Donation System, and has actively continued efforts such as signing a win-win business agreement for the system and mutual donations with nearby local governments and institutions within the city.

Additionally, ahead of the year-end tax settlement period, various year-end promotional events related to the Hometown Love Donation are being held.

Mayor Kim Dong-geun said, “I sincerely thank everyone for the precious donations gathered in Uijeongbu this year as well as last year,” and added, “We will continue to develop and promote unique return gifts exclusive to Uijeongbu City that benefit both donors and local residents.”

Meanwhile, the Hometown Love Donation System allows individuals to donate to their desired local government other than their registered address, such as their hometown, with benefits including income tax deductions and return gifts. Donations can be easily made through the Hometown Love e-um website and nationwide agricultural and livestock cooperatives.
