This pilot education, conducted for three schools including Namyang Middle School, Chidong High School, and Yedang High School, consisted of theoretical lessons on the definition of PM and electric bicycles, laws, operation methods, and road riding techniques, as well as practical training through obstacle course riding experiences.
The city plans to gradually expand the number of schools participating in the education program starting next year. Schools wishing to participate can apply to Hwaseong City's AI Strategy Division via official documents or email.
Earlier last month, the city also conducted a safety campaign in collaboration with Dongtan Police Station and the Green Mothers' Association to promote a proper PM culture and establish parking order.
Jung Myung-geun, Mayor of Hwaseong City, stated, "To foster a proper PM culture and create a safe walking environment, we will expand the installation of dedicated racks and actively promote related publicity and education."
