Through this agreement, the two institutions agreed to join forces to build an excellent model leading advanced industries and culture through government-industry-academia cooperation. They plan to collaborate in various fields such as job creation, nurturing talented individuals, attracting companies, supporting local events and festivals, traditional market and startup marketing, and jointly seek ways to revitalize the local economy.

To this end, the city will cooperate with Kyung Hee University in the process of promoting job projects, attracting excellent companies, and implementing livelihood support projects. Kyung Hee University will support facilities, equipment, and professional personnel for research and activities and provide idle spaces within the university to form a job hub. The university will also support traditional market marketing and events and share marketing know-how with startups and small and medium-sized enterprises in the jurisdiction.

In particular, the two institutions plan to cooperate to continue various projects to revitalize the local economy, such as holding symposiums to be selected for national and provincial government-funded public projects for job creation.

Mayor Lee said, "Kyung Hee University's accumulated capabilities will be a great asset for Yongin's development, local economic revitalization, and job creation," adding, "We will secure national funds through the cooperative system and join forces in various fields such as talent development and policy cooperation."

President Kim also responded, "For the nation's development, financial, spatial, and capital investments must be made, but the most important is knowledge," adding, "Through this opportunity, we will actively communicate and cooperate with Yongin City and local businesses."

Prior to this agreement, the two institutions have maintained various cooperative relationships this year. As part of the 'One Company-One Market Cooperation Project,' Kyung Hee University collaborated with Yongin City to strengthen the latest design trends and the symbolism of the traditional market at Yongin Jungang Market from May to this month. In this process, the university provided students with field training opportunities, and Yongin Jungang Market applied designs incorporating students' ideas to logos and sculptures. This project also received the Gyeonggi Small and Medium Business Administration Director's Award.

The university also operated a Future Technology School with investment from Yongin. This program, consisting of metaverse, immersive media, and beginner game developer courses, selected 35 Gyeonggi residents aged 15 and older for education and produced 23 graduates last month.
