Unwavering Love for Students Even After Leaving University: Generous Donation of 100 Million Won
National Pukyong University (President Bae Sang-hoon) announced on the 20th that Professor Emeritus Lee Byung-geun (Department of International Trade) generously donated a large sum of money to the university for his students.
Professor Emeritus Lee Byung-geun recently handed over 100 million KRW to President Bae Sang-hoon during a development fund donation ceremony held at the president's office on the 3rd floor of the university headquarters.
Professor Emeritus Lee Byung-geun said, "Having taught students for over 20 years, I have witnessed many students studying, graduating, and succeeding. I decided to donate with the hope that students will continue to study freely, engage in activities, and grow."
Professor Emeritus Lee Byung-geun joined National Pukyong University in 2002 and served as a professor in the Department of International Trade for 22 years before retiring on August 31st.
He added, "Our university's Department of International Trade was selected for the Youth Trade Expert Training Project, which has increased opportunities for students to be active locally and globally. I hope the development fund will be used to help students gain diverse experiences and become competent international trade professionals."
In accordance with Professor Emeritus Lee Byung-geun's wishes, National Pukyong University plans to use this development fund to support field trade practice and scholarships for students in the Department of International Trade.
