Opposition: "Some People in the People Power Party Are the Same"
The Democratic Party of Korea announced that it will file a complaint against lawyer Seok Dong-hyun, accusing him of "promoting rebellion."
Kim Seong-hoe, the Democratic Party spokesperson, told reporters at the National Assembly on the morning of the 20th, "Lawyer Seok is defending President Yoon's rebellion case without officially taking on the case," adding, "It is legally permissible to defend a case after being officially retained as a lawyer, but what he is doing now amounts to promoting rebellion." Lawyer Seok, who graduated from Seoul National University Law School alongside President Yoon, is not part of the defense team but is providing legal advice.

Spokesperson Kim stated, "Because he is sympathizing with and promoting rebellion, we will file a complaint against lawyer Seok through the party's legal committee review." He also said, "The same applies to People Power Party officials," adding, "We will take legal action against those who claim that the current rebellion situation is not a rebellion." Furthermore, he said, "The People Power Party should reflect on their involvement in the rebellion, but they are increasingly defending it," expressing concern, "I worry whether they can truly avoid public criticism."
