The scope of public construction cost information disclosure will be expanded to include port construction projects.
From the 20th, the Public Procurement Service announced that construction costs by type of port construction will be disclosed through the ‘Construction Cost Information Plaza.’ The disclosed information will be provided by analyzing major influencing factors such as structural types targeting key structures like berthing facilities, outer facilities, and water area facilities, as well as ground and water depth.
Road and river construction projects, which have been disclosed since the first half of the year, will also have recently ordered data additionally analyzed and provided. The total number of cases providing construction cost information by type for civil engineering projects this year is 674.
The Public Procurement Service plans to provide the latest ordered data quarterly going forward. Additionally, starting next year, the scope of information disclosure will be expanded to new types such as industrial environmental facility construction, and the ‘Construction Cost Information Plaza’ system will be upgraded to enable users to conveniently utilize construction cost-related information.
Kang Seong-min, Director of the Facility Project Bureau at the Public Procurement Service, stated, “Through the disclosure of construction cost information, we will enhance the reflection of appropriate budgets in major public construction projects and increase the reliability of construction cost estimates.”
