Promoting a Virtuous Cycle Where Work-Life Balance Leads to Mid-Term Support Achievements
The Small and Medium Business Corporation (SBC) announced on the 20th that it held a 'SBC Labor-Management Joint Declaration on Practicing Work-Family Balance' ceremony at the SBC Mokdong headquarters in Seoul.
The main contents of the declaration include ▲ compliance with norms related to childbirth and childcare such as the Labor Standards Act ▲ prohibition of discrimination due to reasons such as pregnancy, childbirth, and childcare ▲ establishment of a flexible working environment free from constraints of time and place ▲ active utilization of service systems such as parental leave and infertility treatment leave ▲ minimization of overtime work and encouragement of free use of annual leave.
Through this declaration, SBC and the labor union pledged to create a balanced work environment based on mutual understanding and trust among members, providing better support services to small and medium ventures.
Kang Seok-jin, SBC Director, said, “Practicing work-family balance is an essential task to overcome the low birthrate crisis and to achieve work-life balance for employees,” adding, “We will do our best to establish and spread a family-friendly culture and work-family balance.”
