Attendance at the '2024 Second Half Public-Private One Team Meeting'
Mayor Kang: "Developing into a Cultural Tourism City... We Will Build a Public-Private Cooperation Network"
Mayor Kang Su-hyun of Yangju City presided over the "2024 Second Half Public-Private One-Team Meeting" held on the 18th at the Crown Haitai Training Center in the jurisdiction to share this year’s key achievements in culture and tourism and discuss current issues for the leap toward becoming a "Cultural Tourism City Yangju."

The meeting was attended by about 40 people, including Mayor Kang, representatives of major institutions in the Jangheung area, experts in the field of culture and tourism, representatives of local residents in Jangheung, and related public officials.
The main focus of the meeting was on measures to revitalize tourism in the Jangheung area, a key tourist destination ahead of the reopening of the Gyeongui Line.
Yoo In-taek, CEO of the Gyeonggi Cultural Foundation, and Kim Seong-ha, head of the AI Innovation Policy Center at the Gyeonggi Research Institute, presented opinions on resident participation and the development of killer content. In addition, in-depth discussions were held focusing on local cultural sites such as Crown Haitai Art Valley, Ghana Art Park, and Songam Space Center.
In particular, thanks to the cooperation of Yoon Young-dal, chairman of Crown Haitai, who attended the meeting, the meeting was held at the Crown Haitai Training Center, marking a meaningful time where the public and private sectors promised to build a network of coexistence and cooperation for the development of culture and tourism in the jurisdiction.
Mayor Kang Su-hyun of Yangju City said, “The Jangheung area is a representative tourist destination in the metropolitan area and a cultural tourism hub where cultural resources are concentrated. It is more important than anything else for the public and private sectors to unite, cooperate, and pool wisdom,” adding, “We will strive to continuously build a public-private cooperation network to develop into a cultural tourism city.”
Meanwhile, Yangju City held the second "Public-Private One-Team Meeting" following the one in February, making efforts to listen to local cultural tourism issues and seek development plans.
