Gyeongnam Province selected nine outstanding cases from a total of 32 regulatory innovation best practices submitted by the province and 18 cities and counties through a first internal document review and a second expert evaluation. Through the competition presentation evaluation, one grand prize, three excellence awards, and five encouragement awards were finally chosen.

At the competition, Park Yuseong, team leader of the One-Stop Permit Division, who presented a case resolving dual regulations under the ‘Air Quality Preservation Act’ that alleviated the consumable cost burden for small and medium-sized automobile parts manufacturers in the jurisdiction, received an encouragement award in the regulatory innovation category.

Yangsan City's regulatory innovation case received high marks for removing obstacles hindering corporate growth by having administrative agencies communicate with companies to listen to their difficulties and actively interpret related laws to exempt unnecessary legal obligations.

Mayor Na Dong-yeon said, “I applaud the efforts of the public officials who took the lead in promoting regulatory innovation,” adding, “In 2025, we will do our best to revitalize the local economy and improve citizens’ quality of life by continuing to improve unreasonable regulations and resolve corporate regulatory difficulties.”
