On the 19th, the city announced that it will increase the incentive discount rate for the Yangju Love Gift Certificate from the existing 7% to 10% throughout January in preparation for the upcoming Seollal holiday.

This measure was prepared to restore consumer sentiment, increase sales for small business owners, and revitalize the local economy amid the nationwide economic downturn.

With this increased incentive, customers can receive incentives ranging from a minimum of 1,000 KRW to a maximum of 30,000 KRW when charging between 10,000 KRW and 300,000 KRW on the Yangju Love Gift Certificate.

The Yangju Love Gift Certificate can be used at over 8,500 affiliated stores within Yangju City, including restaurants, supermarkets, and academies.

Mayor Kang Su-hyun of Yangju said, “By raising the incentive for the Yangju Love Card, we expect to ease the financial burden on citizens preparing for the Seollal holiday and stimulate consumption, while small business owners will benefit from increased sales, thereby injecting vitality into Yangju’s local economy.”
