Highlighting the Importance of Electronic Delivery for Local Taxes
Uijeongbu City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kim Dong-geun) announced on the 19th that it won first place and received the grand prize in the 'YouTube Short Video (Short-form) Contest' held by the Korea Local Tax Research Institute to increase public interest in local taxes and finance.

In this contest, over two months, a total of 13 winning entries were selected from 26 candidates through ▲1st round internal screening ▲2nd round expert evaluation ▲3rd round online popularity voting.
Uijeongbu City submitted a video titled "Don't Miss Out on Local Tax Electronic Delivery and Automatic Payment Application." The video attracted attention with realistic acting by tax department staff and compelling lyrics created using artificial intelligence (AI).
In particular, the video clearly explained the service application method, benefits, and effects, receiving high scores in both the 2nd round expert evaluation and the 3rd round online response.
Mayor Kim Dong-geun said, "I sincerely thank the citizens who showed great interest in this new attempt at short-form video promotion," and added, "We will continue to promote the 'paperless tax notice' that protects taxpayers' personal information and the environment so that more citizens can receive it."
