Shortened Working Hours System During Pregnancy, Spouse Fetal Examination Leave
Awarded 4 Prizes at Work-Family Balance Ceremony
CJ CheilJedang announced on the 19th that it received the Minister of Gender Equality and Family Commendation at the 'Family-Friendly Certification and Government Awards Ceremony' hosted by the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family.
This award is given to companies certified as family-friendly by the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family that exemplary operate family-friendly systems. The selection process includes document screening and public verification of government award candidates, and this year, 19 companies were selected out of approximately 156.

CJ CheilJedang was recognized for creating high-quality jobs that enable work-family balance by establishing maternal protection systems that exceed legal standards. In particular, the company was highly praised for operating the ‘Shortened Working Hours System for Pregnant Employees’ and providing four hours of spousal fetal examination leave once a month.
Additionally, CJ CheilJedang offers a ‘Child Enrollment Care Leave’ of two weeks when employees’ children enter elementary school, and operates various family-friendly welfare systems such as ‘Parental Leave Plus,’ which allows employees who have taken parental leave to take an additional year off.
With this award, CJ CheilJedang has won a total of four awards this year at government-hosted ceremonies related to work-family balance. Besides being recognized as an ‘Outstanding Family-Friendly Company,’ CJ CheilJedang also received awards from the Ministry of Employment and Labor as a ‘Top Job Creator in Korea,’ an ‘Excellent Company for Work-Life Balance in Korea,’ and an ‘Outstanding Labor-Management Culture Company,’ solidifying its reputation as a ‘Great Place to Work.’
