A platform has been created for citizens to share outstanding policies promoted by 18 public institutions in the Gwangju area.

According to Gwangju City on the 18th, 18 regional public institutions, under the policy network "Gwangju Policy Research Association" organized to integrate research capabilities, are holding the "2024 Policy Expo for Sharing and Spreading Outstanding Policy Achievements" at City Hall's Citizen Hall and Mudeung Hall for three days until the 20th.

The policy expo features posters showcasing outstanding policy achievements by each institution. At the exhibition booths in Citizen Hall, the Gwangju Research Institute presented "Gwangju Future Vision," a region-specific research project; the Gwangju Economic Promotion and Win-Win Jobs Foundation introduced policies for local small business coexistence such as the Baemin Declaration of Independence and meal kit development. Gwangju Urban Corporation highlighted efforts to strengthen regional competitiveness, such as attracting Grand Starfield, while Gwangju Social Service Institute revealed outcomes of the "Gwangju-Style Integrated Care" policy. In total, 18 public institutions are presenting their outstanding policies from this year.

Special lectures to strengthen the capabilities of public institutions are also being held. On the afternoon of the 18th, a keynote lecture on "The Role of Public Institutions in the Era of Great Transition" will take place in Mudeung Hall, and on the morning of the 19th, a policy discussion on "AI Transformation and Response Strategies in the Public Sector" will be held at the same venue.

Mayor Kang Gijung said, "The achievements of public institutions this year will accumulate in the hearts of citizens and become part of the staff's capabilities. Since the reason for the existence of public institutions is to make citizens' lives happier, I ask you to continue working for citizens' happiness in the new year as well."
