Over the past two years, 398 Human Books have met with 4,422 citizens to share knowledge and experiences.

The event began with an ensemble performance by Human Book Professor Jo Dae-myung from the Department of Music at Sahmyook University and the SU-Chamber team.

Additionally, the event was heated with the passion and emotion of the Human Books through △watching a video of Human Book activities △‘Human Book Empathy Dialogue’ △an exhibition of banners showcasing Human Book activity achievements.

A Human Book participant said, “Through the Human Book activities where I share my talents, I had a meaningful time to reflect on myself again,” adding, “It was very beneficial and meaningful to communicate with fellow Human Books who share the same purpose at today’s achievement sharing event.”

Joo Gwang-deok, Mayor of Namyangju City and the first Human Book, stated, “Thank you for bringing joy and happiness to citizens through Human Book activities over the past two years,” and added, “We will spare no administrative or financial support so that all citizens can enjoy the pleasure of lifelong learning and the Human Book program can be further activated.”

The city plans and operates various programs such as △visiting Human Books △regular programs △1:1 continuous reading through the talent-sharing platform ‘Human Book Library,’ where people become books to share knowledge and experiences, connecting about 400 Human Books with citizens.
