Namyangju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Ju Gwang-deok) announced on the 18th that it held the 3rd temporary meeting of the 2024 Super Growth Committee under the theme "Super Growth Committee Connecting the Past, Present, and Future of Namyangju" at the Gyeonggi Viewer Media Center and Namyangju City Museum on the 17th.

First, the city conducted a briefing on the Gyeongui-Jungang Line railroad covering and upper park project at the Gyeonggi Viewer Media Center, followed by an on-site inspection.

The project site is planned to be developed as a future-oriented complex cultural space connecting the old town and the new town, reflecting the Dasan Jeong Yak-yong brand, and will be established as a key landmark of Namyangju.

Next, at the Namyangju City Museum, after viewing the village archival exhibition that visualizes the historical value of villages disappearing due to new town development, a briefing on public development projects and a session for policy proposals and opinion gathering were held.

Additionally, during the meeting for collecting opinions on public development projects such as new towns, committee members presented multifaceted policy proposals for the development of Namyangju.

Mayor Ju Gwang-deok of Namyangju said, "The diverse opinions and policy proposals of the Super Growth Committee members will be a great strength in leading changes beyond the imagination of Namyangju," and added, "Please continue to take the lead in communicating with citizens and preparing balanced urban development and sustainable growth strategies."

The Super Growth Committee is composed of experts and local representatives from various fields transcending generations, gender, regions, ideologies, and classes, and plays a role in advising, discussing, and proposing on major policies and issues of Namyangju City.
