Yeoju Daewangnimpyo Premium Rice Enters Shinsegae Department Store

Yeoju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Lee Chung-woo) announced on the 18th that the Yeoju Daewangnimpyo Premium Rice, launched by the Integrated RPC, has been stocked in 10 Shinsegae Department Store branches, and a promotional event was held at the Dogok branch to commemorate the launch.

The Yeoju Daewangnimpyo Premium Rice is a premium rice selected under strict conditions for protein, amylose, lipid, and moisture content among ‘Jinsangmi,’ a domestically developed variety and Yeoju’s representative variety. It is available at a total of 10 Shinsegae Department Store branches: ▲Main Branch ▲Gangnam Branch ▲South City Branch ▲Gwangju Branch ▲Daegu Branch ▲Dogok Branch ▲Centum Branch ▲Times Square Branch ▲Uijeongbu Branch ▲Daejeon Branch.

The Yeoju Daewangnimpyo Premium Rice is characterized by its chewy and savory taste, low protein and amylose content, which results in excellent rice flavor and better texture compared to conventional rice.

The event is being held from the 13th to the 19th at the Shinsegae Food Market Dogok Branch, where consumers can purchase Yeoju rice at a discounted price of 55,900 KRW per 10Kg bag and receive a complimentary savory scorched rice snack made from Yeoju rice.

Mayor Lee Chung-woo of Yeoju said, “We will continue to secure various distribution channels so that consumers can more easily access Yeoju Jinsangmi,” encouraging those involved.

Meanwhile, the city has contributed to the production of high-quality Yeoju rice by conducting various campaigns with the Integrated RPC covering production, processing, distribution, and marketing to foster high-quality Yeoju rice.
