The Uijeongbu City Nurses Association practices sharing for neighbors in need every year, and this year supported warm winter blankets to about 10 vulnerable elderly dementia patients.

The Uijeongbu City Dementia Safety Center helps resolve care blind spots through the ‘Customized Case Management Project for Vulnerable Dementia Patients’ and systematically intervenes and mediates issues related to physical, psychological, and environmental needs, enabling the subjects to live stably in the community.

In particular, based on cooperation with various related organizations, including the blankets from the Uijeongbu City Nurses Association, they connect and support necessary material resources such as fire detectors, gas safety devices, and missing prevention products for the subjects. They also strive to meet emotional needs through the Mental Health Welfare Center and welfare centers, supporting the stable lives of the subjects by utilizing available local resources.

Director Jang Yeon-guk said, “We thank the Uijeongbu City Nurses Association and many related organizations who do not spare their interest and support for marginalized elderly dementia patients,” and added, “The Uijeongbu City Dementia Safety Center will continue to do its best to create a Uijeongbu City where dementia patients live together with the community.”
