Students of Cheonggye Elementary School Donate Flea Market Proceeds to Muan County

"Donation for Neighbors in Need"

Muan County, South Jeolla Province (Governor Kim San) announced on the 18th that students from Cheonggye Elementary School donated 758,430 won, which they raised through their own sharing market.

Cheonggye Elementary School has been donating the proceeds from the annual sharing market?where students buy and sell goods among themselves?and the food market run by parents, as charitable contributions to help neighbors in need, with the decision made through student meetings.

One student from Cheonggye Elementary School said, "We decided through our student meeting to donate in order to help neighbors who are struggling in their daily lives," and added, "I feel proud because it seems like we did something meaningful."

Governor Kim San said, "It is truly admirable and praiseworthy to see these young students coming to donate with such kind hearts," and added, "I will make sure that the donations are used carefully in places where they are truly needed, just as the students wished."
