On the 19th, SandsLab received the Venture Business Association President's Award at the 2024 Asia AI Awards held at the Press Center in Jung-gu, Seoul.
SandsLab is a security company specializing in artificial intelligence (AI)-based Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI). It develops and provides AI malfunction prevention technologies such as deepfake, voice phishing, and voice synthesis, as well as an on-premise-based sLLM (Specialized Large Language Model) model, where companies own and operate their own servers directly.
As deepfake crimes have recently emerged as a serious social issue, SandsLab opened its 'FakeCheck' service to the public to eradicate digital crimes and alleviate public anxiety. This service allows users to directly access the website and upload images suspected of being deepfakes, then analyzes and determines the authenticity within seconds, providing the results. To make the service easily accessible to everyone, cumbersome procedures such as membership registration or authentication were removed, focusing purely on functionality.
SandsLab's main brand is 'CTX (Cyber Threat X)'. Based on an AI engine, it analyzes files and supports queries for specific hashes (MDS, SHA1, SHA256). It features information on whether files are malicious, attack groups, target countries and industries, and MITRE ATT&CK techniques.
SandsLab is also conducting national research and development projects (IITP) related to generative AI. Currently, it is undertaking the 'Core Information Security Technology Development Project' in collaboration with FortyTwoMaru, KAIST, Logpresso, and LG Uplus, conducting research and development. SandsLab is responsible for generative AI malfunction detection and response technology in this project.
