During the second half of last year, 22 members of the Policy Advisory Professors Group (led by Professor Emeritus Cho Tae-hwan of Gyeongsang National University) completed their research and identified a total of 21 policy tasks. This presentation meeting was held to share the research results of three selected projects with city officials, proceeding in the order of research presentations, Q&A, and discussions.
The three projects presented by the Policy Advisory Professors Group were ▲ ‘A Cognitive-Structural Approach to a Creativity Development Model for Enhancing Public Officials’ Competence’ by Professor Emeritus Kim Du-sik of Gyeongsang National University, ▲ ‘A Study on the Ontology and Epistemology of Nammyung Jo Sik’ by Professor Jeong Yong-seok of Jinju National University of Education, and ▲ ‘Pet Welfare Policy and Welfare Facility Operation Plans’ by Professor Ko Pil-ok of Gyeongsang National University.
Mayor Cho Gyu-il said in his opening remarks, “Despite many difficulties this year, we have accomplished a lot across city administration,” adding, “We have seen various achievements in city administration, including winning the Grand Prize at the 2024 Korea City Awards and the Spatial Culture Awards. Underlying these achievements were diverse policy proposals from many professors.” He further requested, “We ask the professors, led by Representative Professor Cho Tae-hwan, to continue providing policy proposals that can lead to city development in various fields, including strengthening the competence of public officials.”
Meanwhile, Jinju City plans to actively reflect the total of 21 research tasks, including the three presented on this day, in city administration after undergoing a review process by field.
