Participation in 'False Listing Monitoring'
Immediate Deletion on Same Day if Found
Comprehensive proptech company Zigbang announced on the 18th that it will participate in the ‘Real Estate Brokerage Object Internet Display and Advertising Monitoring’ (hereinafter referred to as False Listing Monitoring) implemented by the Korea Real Estate Board starting from the 1st of next month.
The False Listing Monitoring is implemented to prevent consumer damage caused by advertisements of completed transactions being left unattended. It is carried out by linking online real estate advertisement platform listings with real estate transaction information held by the Korea Real Estate Board. Zigbang provides its listing advertisement information, and the Korea Real Estate Board verifies the real estate transaction information. By deleting advertisements judged to be false on the same day, they plan to reduce false listings.
Zigbang’s False Listing Monitoring targets nationwide officetel rental and lease listings registered on Zigbang. Recently, following the launch of 'ApartmentPRO,' a nationwide apartment exclusive banner product for licensed real estate agents on Zigbang and the real estate platform ‘Hogangnono,’ they plan to launch an apartment listing advertisement service, so it is expected that apartment listings may be included in the monitoring targets in the future.
Since the early stages of the service, Zigbang has operated policies to reduce user damage caused by false listings. Based on user feedback, they conduct real-time false listing monitoring to verify whether the advertisement content matches the actual information, and especially strictly sanction and manage advertisers who repeatedly post false listings causing user damage. Additionally, since 2019, they have been making efforts for self-regulation by participating in the Real Estate Digital Advertising Committee under the Korea Proptech Forum.
An Seong-woo, CEO of Zigbang, said, “We hope that the Korea Real Estate Board’s False Listing Monitoring will create a more trustworthy and safe real estate transaction environment,” and added, “Zigbang will continue to do its best to enhance the transparency and reliability of the real estate market through proactive self-regulation policies, including false listing management.”
