The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Craft & Design Foundation have been promoting hanbok in collaboration with domestic Hallyu culture and arts figures since 2022. So far, actress Suzy and former figure skater Kim Yuna have participated to help promote hanbok brands' overseas expansion.

Taking over the baton, Kim collaborated with four hanbok brands (LISLE, Shin Seoul, OUR, Hyeon) to design and wear hanbok that combines traditional elegance with a modern sensibility. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will unveil this through a photo spread in the January issue of Marie Claire Korea on the 21st. It will also be produced as a video and broadcast on digital billboards in Times Square Broadway in New York, USA, the Citadium Commartin billboard in Paris, France, and the K-Culture screen at the National Museum of Korean Contemporary History.

An exhibition for direct viewing will also be held. From January 15 to February 11 next year, Lines of Enchantment, Bonds of Majesty will be on display on the second floor of Culture Station Seoul 284. Culture Station Seoul 284 is the place where Kim performed street shows in the drama Jungnyeon-i.

Lee Jung-woo, Director of the Culture and Arts Policy Office at the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said, "Korean traditional culture, including hanbok, is expanding the scope of Hallyu alongside modern popular culture," adding, "We expect this project to play a significant role in introducing the unique charm and beauty of hanbok to the world."
