OCI Holdings announced on the 18th that it has been included in the 2024 Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) Korea for the 16th consecutive year.

The Dow Jones Sustainability Index is a sustainability evaluation indicator by S&P Global in the United States, which annually compiles and publishes the economic performance and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance of global companies.

In this evaluation, OCI Holdings received consistently high scores across all areas of environment, society, and governance. In particular, it was recognized for enhancing overall corporate transparency in areas such as ▲the level of materiality assessment ▲United Nations Global Compact activities ▲anti-bribery and anti-corruption management.

Since its transition to a holding company in May last year, OCI Holdings has proactively responded to global ESG issues by establishing an ESG strategy system and environmental goals from a mid- to long-term perspective. In May, it established the OCI ESG Management Council to internalize an ESG management system centered on the holding company across all domestic and overseas affiliates.

Meanwhile, OCI, a major operating company, was also included in the DJSI Korea for the second consecutive year. OCI recorded excellent scores in areas such as ▲climate change response ▲sustainable eco-friendly products ▲human rights management ▲supply chain management, and was especially highly evaluated for calculating and disclosing greenhouse gas Scope 3 emissions and conducting environmental impact assessments (LCA) on polysilicon and carbon black.

Kim Yushin, CEO of OCI Holdings, said, "We will continue to make our best efforts to become a global ESG management leading company, centered on the OCI ESG Management Council."
