Baemin Rider School, Linked with Mutual Aid Association Insurance
Riders who have completed the safety training at Baemin Rider School will be able to receive discounts on two-wheeled vehicle insurance products provided by the Delivery Service Mutual Aid Association. Based on this, Woowa Brothers plans to further strengthen the connection between Baemin Rider School’s specialized two-wheeled vehicle safety training and rider insurance enrollment.
Woowa Brothers, responsible for the logistics services of Baedal Minjok (Baemin), and the Mutual Aid Association announced on the 18th that they will offer discounted monthly insurance products to riders who have completed the two-wheeled vehicle safety training at Baemin Rider School.
This project was established with the purpose of promoting compliance with traffic laws and safe driving among two-wheeled vehicle riders, and spreading a culture of safe delivery by providing various benefits such as discount policies. The Mutual Aid Association plans to continuously evaluate the safety effects of insurance premium discounts and expand the range of benefits for riders.
The insurance discount from the Mutual Aid Association is targeted at “riders who have completed offline training at institutions recognized for their expertise in two-wheeled vehicle safety education.” It was explained that the scope of application was specifically set to link systematic and effective safety education from professional institutions with insurance premium discounts.
Baemin Rider School, operated by Woowa Brothers, was included as an applicable institution due to its recognized expertise, with instructors having over 20 years of experience in two-wheeled vehicle education conducting systematic theoretical and practical training on safe two-wheeled vehicle operation. In fact, the professionalism of Baemin Rider School’s training was proven by a joint study with the Korea Road Traffic Authority, showing that it increases graduates’ knowledge and attitudes toward safe driving by 128%.
Woowa Brothers and the Mutual Aid Association plan to apply the discount policy starting next year. By submitting a Baemin Rider School certificate to the Mutual Aid Association, riders can receive up to a 3% discount on monthly insurance premiums for one year.
A representative from Woowa Brothers said, “We hope that the connection between Baemin Rider School’s safety training and the Delivery Service Mutual Aid Association’s insurance products will further spread a culture of legal compliance and safe driving among domestic two-wheeled vehicle riders,” adding, “We plan to continuously expand benefits for riders who comply well with traffic laws together with the Mutual Aid Association.”
