The training, held on the 18th, was organized to enhance the effectiveness of the 'New Public Officials Mentoring Program' operated at the regional level.
The main topics include ▲Understanding the role of experts (mentors) ▲Building relationships with new public officials ▲Establishing detailed activity plans ▲Sharing and feedback on activity plans.
As of 2024, the Provincial Office of Education operates job academies for new public officials in 25 educational support offices. In 2025, the program will be expanded to include a standard program for new public officials and expert activities (mentoring). This training is a proactive program conducted ahead of that expansion.
Based on this training, the Provincial Office of Education expects to contribute to enhancing the practical capabilities of new public officials by designing, operating, and utilizing various mentoring activities in educational settings. Additionally, they plan to continuously support new public officials to minimize trial and error and to perform their duties stably in the educational field.
Gu Soon-yi, Director of the Administrative Capacity Policy Division at the Provincial Office of Education, stated, “We will strive to stably operate the expanded regional standard education program and mentoring program for new public officials starting in 2025,” adding, “We will actively support the expansion of various educational resources to revitalize the operation of regional education programs.”
