Goseong-gun, Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province (Governor Ham Myeong-jun) announced on the 16th that it signed a business agreement with Monart Co., Ltd. at the Goseong-gun Office in the afternoon to actively promote the ‘Goseong Media Art Exhibition Hall (Monar Museum)’ construction project. Goseong-gun expects the media art exhibition hall to align with the smart experiential tourism trend and attract MZ generation and family tourists.

At the signing ceremony, Governor Ham Myeong-jun of Goseong-gun, CEO Jung Hae-in of Monart, and other officials participated and agreed to do their best to create and successfully operate an exhibition hall where visitors can experience unique experiential tourism through mutual role sharing.
To build the Goseong Media Art Exhibition Hall (Monar Museum), Goseong-gun will provide the site and administrative support, Monart will be responsible for architecture and interior design, and will produce content reflecting the characteristics of Goseong-gun to operate the exhibition hall.
The Monar Museum is planned to be established within the Sampo and Munam tourist sites, with a total project cost of 21 billion KRW (15 billion KRW for construction, 6 billion KRW for content production and equipment) to be invested by 2026. The facility is designed as a four-story building above ground, with a building area of 4,626㎡ and a height of 18 meters, consisting of a cutting-edge media art exhibition and experiential space.
This project will proceed in a form where Monart constructs the Monar Museum and donates it to Goseong-gun, then operates it with permission for free use for a certain period. Goseong-gun expects the media art exhibition hall to establish itself as a center of smart tourism and significantly contribute to revitalizing the local economy.
Meanwhile, Monart plans to build spaces and content reflecting the local characteristics such as Goseong-gun’s cultural heritage and natural environment to enhance regional identity and provide cultural benefits to Goseong residents through exhibition hall operations. Additionally, it will contribute to job creation by prioritizing hiring local residents and contribute to local economic revitalization through stable operation and sincere tax payments.
Governor Ham Myeong-jun of Goseong-gun said, “The media art exhibition hall will satisfy the demand of the MZ generation and family tourists through experiential tourism content that combines advanced technology and art, and strengthen the tourism competitiveness of the Sampo and Munam tourist sites,” adding, “We will achieve successful project promotion through cooperation with Monart.”
